Usage[edit source]
This template marks a string as pIqaD. It is transcluded by {{script}}. Do not include this template directly, but instead use: {{script|Piqd|‹Klingon script string›}}
.
Under the hood[edit source]
This template contains<templatestyles src="Script/styles_klingon.css" /><span class="script-klingon">{{{1}}}</span>
The class="script-klingon"
allows users to specify their own style for Klingon script by including a custom font declaration for .script-klingon
in their user CSS, see Help:User style. Proper display of the characters is achieved by explicit font declarations.
Example[edit source]
Placing a Klingon string in {{script}}:
{{script|Piqd|}}
The result will be a span with a class attribute, like this:
<span class="script-klingon"></span>
Which appears in your browser as:
-
Without {{script}}:
-
The last two should only look different if you are using Internet Explorer 6 or lower on Windows, or if you have a custom style defined for class="script-klingon"
.
Please mark all Klingon text with {{script|Piqd}}
. This will allow users to format all examples of Klingon text consistently, with their choice of fonts, colours, etc.
