MATT is the Federation Item Identification Guide code for the “Material” specification.
Definition | The chemical compound or mechanical mixture properties of which the item is fabricated. The input for MRC MATT will be the name of the basic material and the chemical analysis designator when applicable. |

Instructions | Enter the applicable Identified Secondary Address Coding Indicator from Appendix A, Table 1, followed by the Mode Code and the applicable Reply Code from Appendix A, Table 2. |
