Usage[edit source]

Returns the vessel name' (without registry prefix or suffix) based on the date entered for the vessel hull registry number '.

Setting up the name data[edit source]

Copy the sample code below:

{{Earth-date-range-variable| 7 Jul 2024 | 31 Dec 2450 |{{{1}}}| Enterprise }}

...and paste it into this template before the <noinclude> tag.

The name "Enterprise" will need to be changed to reflect the name of this vessel (hull number ').

Likewise dates my need to be altered to define a specific range of time that the name was in use.

Additional entries (if needed) can be added using the same format with different dates, thereby building up to form a detailed ship registry history for the vessel. This allows all calls of this template using a target date to display the correct ship name for hull number ' for a specific date or time period used in articles and tables throughout the wiki.

'Note: Only one entry outlined above need be used if the same ship name was used throughout the history of hull registry number '.

Additional entries need only be added if the name changed at any point in the vessel's service history.

Example[edit source]
