The mega-electronvolt, abbreviated MeV, is is a unit of energy equal to 1,000,000 electronvolts. When used as a unit of energy, it is the numerical value of the change in energy by moving a thousand electrons across an electric potential difference of one volt. 1 mega-electronvolt (MeV) = 1.602176487E-13 joules (J).
